Infection Control The type(s) of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used will vary based on the level of precautions required, such as standard and contact, droplet, and/or airborne infection isolation precautions, as indicated on posted signage outside of patient areas. Enter an isolation area only after reviewing isolation protocols for the patient area, performing hand hygiene, and after being properly instructed by their school on proper donning and doffing of PPE.
