Gentiles.” This was after Paul had gone to the Gentiles with the gospel on his first missionary journey.

but before doing so, give one end of the paper a half-turn. Paste the word “ JEW ISH” on one side of the globe and the word “ GENTILE” on the other side. Put the circle of paper around the back of a chair or some other raised object at the end of a small table. Place the globe on the table, sufficiently far away from the chair to allow the circle to touch the side of the globe with the word “ JEWISH” on it, but not near enough to allow the circle to reach the “ GENTILE” side of the globe.) Lesson: This circle reminds me of the Apostle Paul. The reason that it does is because it reaches only that part of the globe marked “JEWISH” . There was a time in the life of Paul when his min istry was largely to those who had been Jewish before becoming Christians. Paul was to receive an enlarged vision, in cluding the whole world. In Acts 13: 2,3 we read, “ As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me, Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” It was the Holy Ghost who gave Paul a world vision and ministry. We will let these scissors remind us of the Holy Spirit, and "with them we will cut this circle of paper and see what happens. (Cut along the middle, completely around the circle, which will cause it to be twice as long.) I cok, new the circle is long enough to reach around the world. Paul was like this larger circle after the Spirit of God had spoken to him, regarding his place of service. In Acts 14:27 we read: “ And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the BIG 4—1st: MEMBERS, ALL AGES, WANTED. Object: A capital “ T.” (Make the “ T” by using a piece of white paper 8% x ll inches. Fold in thirds, making the size 8%x3% inches. With this last fold on the top, cut out a capital “ T” with top bar Vz inch deep and upright 1 inch wide. When open, this will make three crosses, joined at the ends of the cross- arms. Color the middle cross red. Cut the top off each of the crosses, making a “ T” of each. Fold the top of the red cross backward, making a “ T” out of it. On the “ T” to the left, print down the word, “ TENTMAKER.” On the other “ T” print the word “ TEACHER.” Fold the one to the right over the cross, and the other one to the left on top of the first.)

Lesson: I do not think you would be able to guess what this “ T” represents, so I think I had better tell you—it stands for the word “ TENTMAKER,” and on the other side of the “ T” we find the word “ TENTMAKER.” This will im mediately call to your mind the fact that the Apostle Paul was a tentmaker. In Acts 18:3 we read, “ And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.” This verse is telling about Paul’s working with a man and his wife by the name of Aquila and Priscilla. Evidently Paul talked with them about Christ, for in the 26th verse of this chapter we read, “ They took him [Apollos] unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.” Since opening the “ T” you have noticed that we have another “ T” . Opening it, we find that it stands for “ TEACHER.” Acts 18:11 tells us, “And he [Paul] continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.” In between the two “ T’s” stands a red cross, reminding us of the cross on which Christ shed His blood for the sins of the world. (Unfold the top of the cross.) This was the subject of Paul, whether while making tents or teaching. He was always presenting Christ as the crucified Saviour of the world. He was always faithful to Christ and to those with whom he associated. We as Christians should learn a lesson from him—that of being true to Christ under all circum stances.
