The Appraisal Institute continues to offer the highest level of education and professional level of ethics and standards as well as providing various resources to our peers. The appraisal industry is aging and there are less people entering this profession. Educational offerings are tougher to find, but the Metro New Jersey Chapter continues to provide the education to meet appraisers’ needs for licensing and continuing education. In order to continue offering qualifying education and high profile conferences and events the chapter has a sponsorship program to support these programs. If you plan on attending the Princeton or the Fall Conference, for a few dollars more than the cost of attendance, you can be a sponsor and receive free admission. This year’s Princeton conference will be on April 22 nd and it will provide not only some real unique speakers, it will also be 7 full hours of credits for appraisers and 6 hours of CE for Realtors and Brokers. In addition to the Princeton Conference, we have our Fall Conference on October 21 st , as well as other meetings and seminars throughout the year where educational credits can be earned. Also, this year, is the return of our Golf Outing. It will be on May 19 th at the recently refurbished Galloping Hill Golf Course, a top tier course with a new, modern club house, rivaling some of the best county clubs in the area. This is a charity event for Family Promise of Passaic County, which helps homeless people build better lives.
