As we prepare to move into our beautiful new Clubhouse at Frenchman’s Creek, we want to share a few important reminders about fire, smoke, and life safety. These practices are in place to protect you. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 1. Be aware of your surroundings. Take note of where fire and smoke alarms, exits, and gathering spots are located whenever you are in the Clubhouse. 2. Keep pathways open. Please avoid placing personal items or belongings in hallways or near exits. Clear access keeps everyone safe. 3. Take drills seriously. From time to time, we will conduct fire drills. While they may interrupt activities, they help ensure everyone knows what to do in the event of a real emergency. 4. If you see something, say something. Report blocked exits, missing signs, or anything that doesn’t look right, to management immediately. LIFE SAFETY Life safety is about being prepared and staying calm in any emergency: • Know your exits. Familiarize yourself with the quickest way out of the areas you use most. • Look out for one another. Offer help to anyone who may need guidance or assistance. • Stay calm. Remaining calm helps you and those around you act quickly and safely. WHY IT MATTERS Fire spreads quickly and smoke can be disorienting. Heat builds faster than you may expect. Working fire and smoke alarms can double your chance of escaping safely. By staying aware and prepared, you help protect yourself and our Frenchman’s Creek community.
