Wellness Arts Reconnect breath with body. In this class we’ll use meditation and breathing techniques (pranayama) to calm the nervous system, move through postures (asanas) for strength, flexibility and balance, cultivate mindfulness and relax into a state of well-being. This class is appropriate for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. You’ll leave feeling restored and renewed. Please bring a yoga mat. Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese Martial Art that combines self-defense with meditation and breath control. It is practiced today primarily for its health benefits, stress relief and relaxation. The slow flowing movements are designed to stimulate the flow of energy or chi in the body with the ultimate aim of rejuvenation and increased longevity. The slowness also allows the mind to be actively involved so that one’s awareness directs the movements, integrating one’s body, mind and spirit. This class will improve flexibility, balance and overall well being. Beginners will learn the 13 Golden Postures. ALL LEVELS YOGA (ONSITE)

This is an all-levels yoga practice with a focus on breath, (pranayama,) postures, (asana,) and meditation throughout. The pace is slow and steady to cultivate awareness, find balance, build strength, flexibility and relax into a sense of well-being. Please bring a yoga mat. (recommended props: 2 blocks, a blanket, and strap.) Code: WELL 05 Instructor: Susan Mittleman Location: Retreat Center Maximum: 13 Fee: $219.00 Day/Time: Thursdays, 6:00 - 7:15 PM Dates: September 5 - November 14 (10 weeks) (Class will skip a week, date TBD) This class expands the concepts of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan and starts the Short Form. Continuing students need to have completed the 13 Golden Postures. All classes will be held on zoom.
