Meet Cassie! Our Assistant Dedicated to HelpingYou Turning Dental Anxiety Into Dental Confidence
she treats them like family. She treats everyone exactly how she would want others to interact with her in the same situation. She is compassionate and does everything in her power to make our patients feel comfortable and at ease, especially if they’re dealing with dental anxiety. Once you’ve finished your treatment, don’t be surprised if Cassie is smiling as wide as you are. She loves seeing patients happy with the final result. She is passionate about oral health and teaching others how to maintain or improve their smile, so she’ll likely provide extra tips during your next appointment! While Cassie is a dental assistant right now, she has ambitions of doing more in the industry. She plans to attend school in the fall and take classes to become a dental hygienist. She believes cleaning people’s teeth and providing even more input on their hygiene will allow her to make an even greater impact on her patients’ lives. Cassie is a superstar in and out of the office. When she’s not helping patients through their treatment or exploring hygiene school, she spends time with her 3-year-old daughter. They love to have fun at the park together and go on little excursions around town! Cassie has been a great addition to our team, and I think you’ll feel the same way if she’s assisting during your next appointment! -Dr. Adams
Have you ever gone for an appointment somewhere and felt like the doctor or professional you were seeing didn’t listen to what you were saying or cared about your outcome? We’ve all experienced or heard a horror story about a negative experience at a medical office, which I work diligently to avoid at my practice. I want everyone who comes through our doors to feel heard when they share their concerns or ask questions about their treatment plan. One way we do this is by having an incredible team, where every member has experience, a passion for what they do, and a desire to help others. We recently added a new dental assistant
to our team, Cassie, who is already going above and beyond to care for our patients and their dental needs! Like many others in the dental field, Cassie’s interest in teeth and oral health started from a young age and evolved with time. While other kids were afraid to visit the dentist for exams and cleanings, Cassie actually looked forward to it. She was fascinated by the tools and the dentists’ ability to help and make a notable difference in others’ lives. As soon as she could, Cassie dove headfirst into the dental industry and explored a career in the field. Before joining our team, Cassie worked at a dental office primarily focused on young patients. She loved assisting the dentists with cleanings, filling small cavities, and placing dental sealants, but after two years, she wanted to find something new. She wanted to work at an office that offered a wider range of services and eventually found our open position. After interviewing Cassie, I knew she would be a great addition to our team!
Watching Cassie work and interact with patients is inspiring because

Treat Mom to a Magical Morning THE ULTIMATE MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST PLAN
We should all show appreciation for the moms in our lives year-round, but Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to do something extra special. For many busy moms, a relaxing, stress-free breakfast in bed is the ultimate treat. But Mother’s Day breakfast doesn’t have to be an over- the-top display or super complicated to prepare. A little planning, a few thoughtful details, and helping hands make all the difference. START WITH A MENU SHE’LL LOVE. Mother’s Day breakfast in bed should be simple but meaningful. Breakfast go- tos like pancakes and French toast are delicious and easy to make, and you can add a parfait or fresh fruit and a cup of freshly squeezed juice for a special touch. If she loves eggs and toast, go in that direction. Preparing Mom’s favorite
dish or incorporating ingredients that remind her of a family tradition can take the meal to the next level.
PRESENT IT BEAUTIFULLY. You can elevate even a simple breakfast with a few thoughtful
To make Mother’s Day morning stress- free for everyone, do prep work the night before. Chop fruit, prepare the coffeemaker, and premix the pancake batter. And don’t forget the cleanup. Working as a team to wash dishes and put things away will ensure a dirty kitchen doesn’t ruin Mom’s special day when she gets up. Remember, you don’t have to prepare the perfect meal to make Mother’s Day memorable. It’s all about showing your love and appreciation. The holiday is an opportunity to bring the entire family together to create a special moment for the most important woman in your life.
additions. Ditch the disposables and use real plates, silverware, and linen napkins. Deliver the breakfast with care on a lovely tray accompanied by a small vase of flowers. Keep everything organized neatly, and include a handwritten card or note to add a heartfelt message to the meal. MAKE IT A TEAM EFFORT. Get the whole family involved — minus Mom, of course! Even young kids can pitch in by spreading butter, arranging fruit, or folding napkins. Older kids can help out more with the actual cooking.
“I absolutely love this office and all of the people who work here! All I wanted for my birthday was to have my braces on and to be able to smile. Thank you, Dr. Adams, for making both of these wishes come true!” –LESLIE K. “The staff here is absolutely amazing, especially Ms. Shelly. Her kindness and gentleness in care helped ease my nerves. She went completely beyond my expectations of care and explained everything in ways that made sense. Family Dentistry Made Easy Save Time and Stop Stressing
When you ask Americans about their greatest fears, common answers include clowns, heights, and the dentist. The Cleveland Clinic reports that around 36% of people in the U.S. fear dental treatment, and some avoid the dentist altogether due to their fear. More often than not, their fear stems from a childhood experience with the dentist. At Caring Modern Dentistry, we don’t want anyone to be afraid of coming in for their regularly scheduled exams and cleanings, especially little ones experiencing their first dental visit. While we have strategies and tools to help combat dental fear, we also do what we can to prevent it from forming
in the first place. That’s why we’re proud to be a family dentistry practice. We provide treatment to all members of your family, regardless of age. Allowing your children to see the same dentist you see will help ease any anxiety or fear they may be experiencing, but it also comes with additional benefits. One of the best aspects of seeing a family dentist is that it will save you a ton of time. You don’t have to drive around town to see different specialists, like a pediatric dentist. You can schedule every family member’s appointment for the same day, ensuring you only need to spend a few hours taking care of everyone’s dental
needs. This is much more efficient than driving around town on different days of the month to get everyone to their appointments at various offices. You can also set a great example for your kids. This helps offset any fear they may have and teaches them the importance of maintaining their dental hygiene and oral health. Knowing you’re there and going through the same experience will give them confidence and courage. At Caring Modern Dentistry, we offer a friendly environment that will make every member of your family feel comfortable and at ease. If you’re looking for a new family dentist, call us today!

Secrets of the Silent Tombs
Inside the Pyramids of Giza
Few monuments have perplexed historians — and spurred on conspiracy theorists — more than the Pyramids of Giza. Still standing after more than 4,500 years, these extraordinary tombs offer insight into ancient humanity’s ingenuity and the culture of ancient Egypt. Naturally, their existence has led to extensive investigations into their origins, purpose, and, of course, more than a few wild (and sometimes otherworldly) theories. GUIDANCE FOR GODS Most people today create an estate plan to determine what happens to their most cherished possessions upon their deaths. However, pharaohs — the rulers of ancient Egypt — adhered to the practice of taking everything with them to the afterlife. Pyramids were
15 tons each. The second pyramid was built circa 2520 B.C. for Khufu’s son, Khafre, whose burial site also includes the world-renowned Sphinx. The third and smallest Giza pyramid was constructed circa 2490 B.C. for Khafre’s son, Menkaure. ARCHITECTURE FROM ALIENS? Scientists and architectural experts have marveled at the pyramids’ precise designs for centuries, leading many to question how builders created these monuments so perfectly so long ago. One theory suggested that aliens — not humans — formulated and implemented the pyramids’ layout and construction. While this conclusion inspires many sci-fi movies, scientists believe the pyramids were created using copper drills, saws, and chisels held in human palms and were most likely not the handiwork of industrious extraterrestrial beings.
built as tombs pointing toward the gods and contained items that would help ensure a pharaoh’s safe journey after death as they transcended their earthly existence and became gods. BUILDING LEGENDS The first of three major pyramids built at Giza was also the largest. Construction began around 2550 B.C. at the behest of Pharaoh Khufu. Standing nearly 500 feet above the plateau, the pyramid is constructed of more than 2 million stone blocks weighing between 2.5 and
