FINAL RESULT
3 USING FOREVER LASERDARK (NO CUT) (A+B PAPER)
TRANSFER TO SOME LEATHER*, SUEDE, SERVIETTE, CARDSTOCK, PAPER, PLYWOOD, FABRIC, CAPS, BAGS, ETC. • Print your design in mirror image onto the milky side of your A-foil with your laser printer (Oki white toner laser/normal colour laser/black laser printer/HP Ghost printer)
• TRANSFER OF THE GLUE (B-PAPER) TO THE PRINT (A-FOIL)
✓ Pre heat press to 160°C Set time to 120 SECONDS ✓ Set pressure to LIGHT TO MEDIUM PRESSURE (guideline only) ✓ We recommend that you use a silicone pad for more consistent results relating to glue transfer (please ask one of our sales consultants). ✓ Pre-heat the base of your press until the bottom metal plate AND rubber
mat/silicone pad are burning hot to the touch.
✓ Place a sheet of normal copy paper (larger size than your print) on the
hot rubber mat/silicone pad. ✓ Place the A-foil with the printed milky side facing you on the copy paper ✓ Now place the B-paper with the glue/white side facing down on top of the
A-foil.
4
NB. The printed side of the A-foil must face the white glue side of the B-
paper so that the glue can stick to the toner of the print ✓ Smooth out any bubbles ✓ Place 5 sheets of plain copy paper on top of the A and B paper to stop
the glue from getting onto the heating plate and even heat distribution.
✓ Close the press and press at 160°C for 120 seconds ✓ When timer goes off, quickly remove the copy paper
NB. DO NOT REMOVE the A-foil and B-paper FROM THE RUBBER MAT as it
must be PEELED HOT
✓ Rub for 3 seconds and peel immediately by separating the B-paper from
the A-foil in a single smooth flat motion. Do not pull at an angle. ✓ FOR USE WITH THE HP GHOST PRINTER – PLEASE RUB HARD WITH
FOLDED CLOTH FOR 10 – 12 SECONDS AS THE TONER DIFFERS FROM
THE OKI PRINTER’S TONER AND TAKES LONGER TO GRAB THE GLUE
5 ✓ Cut all around your design in order to cut the glue residue that pushed
out around the edges off. If this is not done, it will leave a glue border
around your design.
• * Test the product first. Not all Leather/Pleather is the same.
• * These temperatures are for presses sold by JGE. Some experimentation will be required on your press that was not purchased from us.
• TRANSFER OF DESIGN TO YOUR GARMENT/SUBSTRATE
✓ The heat setting remains the same as above ✓ Pressure must be MEDIUM to HEAVY PRESSURE ✓ Time is 30 seconds ✓ Place your garment/substrate on your press and close the press to iron out any creases ✓ Place your design (A-foil with transferred glue) on your
garment/substrate
6
✓ Make sure it is in the middle of the press ✓ Press @ 160°C for 30 seconds for cotton and 130°C for 30 seconds for polyester and polyester blend fabrics. ✓ Rub over the transfer with a hard flat surface or the side of a mug so that
the glue can go into the pores of the substrate
✓ Remove the garment/substrate from the press and place it on a cold
smooth surface to cool down or leave it somewhere to cool down
completely. NB. It must be PEELED COMPLETELY COLD
✓ Now remove the plastic backing WITH A ROLLING MOTION from your
garment/substrate
7
FINISHING:
3.
✓ SILICONE SHEET - Available in matte/gloss – always remove completely cold
▪ Place silicone over the design and press at the same pressure as
above at 160°C for 30 seconds for cotton and 130°C for 30 seconds
for polyester and polyester blend fabrics to secure the print into
the fabric.
NB! Always store the paper in a cool dry place and away from direct sunlight. Do not remove the paper from the plastic packaging until it is to be used as it is affected by humidity.
