USING FOREVER MULTITRANS

1. For MULTITRANS FULL COLOUR - Print your artwork/design with your CMYK / CMYW laser printer 2. For MULTITRANS GOLD/SILVER - Print your artwork/design with your CMYK / CMYW laser printer in SOLID BLACK or SOLID WHITE (for the GHOST). 3. Remember to MIRROR the image. 4. Cut your print smaller than your product and fix to your product with heat tape

NB: DO NOT STICK HEAT TAPE OVER YOUR PRINT AS IT WILL NOT ALLOW ENOUGH HEAT TO GO THROUGH and your print will not transfer in that spot.

 Have your silicone pad and multi-meter ready as you will need it to press some products

TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS TRANSFER TO GLASSES/MASON JARS

 Preheat your mug press to 150°C / 302°F with an unprinted mug in the element  Set the timer to 150 seconds  For GHOST PRINTERS use 140°C / 285°F for 300 seconds  If using a MASON JAR – TAKE THE LID OFF.  Place glass into the mug press with the base of the glass outside the element  Use tight pressure (not so tight that you break the glass)  Close press and start timer  When timer goes off, remove the glass with a cloth and place somewhere to cool down for about 2 minutes  DO NOT remove the Multitrans paper from the glass  Place in a bucket with luke warm water until completely cool  Take the glass out of the water  Slowly and evenly peel the paper off the glass  Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C

TRANSFER TO COATED CERAMIC MUGS

 For MULTITRANS FULL COLOUR, preheat the mug press to 160°C / 320°F with an unprinted mug in the element  For MULTITRANS SILVER/GOLD – preheat the mug press to 150°C / 302°F with an unprinted mug in the element  Set the timer to 180 seconds  For MULTITRANS FULL COLOUR, for GHOST PRINTERS use 140°C / 285°F for 300 seconds  For MULTITRANS GOLD/SILVER, for GHOST PRINTERS use 140°C / 285°F for 180 seconds  Place mug to be printed into the mug press ensuring that the entire print is covered by the element when closed  Use tight pressure (not so tight that you break the mug)  Close press and start timer  When timer goes off, remove the mug by its handle and place somewhere to cool down for about 1-2 minutes  DO NOT remove the Multitrans paper from the mug  Place in a bucket with luke warm water until completely cool  Take the mug out of the water and slowly and evenly peel the paper off the mug  Clean with rubbing alcohol to remove background “scuff marks” (on OKI)  Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C

TRANSFER TO MIRRORS

 Preheat your flat press to 160°C / 320°F  Place the mirror on the rubber pad and heat it by holding the heating plate over the mirror for a couple of minutes (DO NOT CLOSE THE PRESS)  Set the timer to 500 seconds to avoid having to open it halfway through the process  Fix the multi-meter wire to an exposed flat part of the mirror (NOT UNDERNEATH THE PAPER) with heat tape and switch it on  Place the silicone pad over the mirror (IT LETS HEAT THROUGH SLOWER SO THAT YOUR MIRROR DOES NOT CRACK)  Use medium pressure  Close press and watch the multi-meter  When the multi-meter reaches 145°C, open the press  Peel the transfer off immediately while hot  Let it cool  Loosen the plastic layer and peel it off  Clean with rubbing alcohol to remove background “scuff marks”  Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C

TRANSFER TO WOOD

 Preheat your flat press to 160°C / 320°F and set the timer to 120 seconds  Make sure your wood item is not too thick. The press must be able to close.  Cover the entire wooden surface with the Multitrans paper to avoid the edges of the paper leaving marks on the wood item  Place the silicone pad over the wood item  Use medium to heavy pressure  Close press  Remove the Multitrans paper immediately from the wood item while hot  Press for 5 seconds with silicone paper

TRANSFER TO PENS (PVC HARD PLASTIC)

* PLASTIC ITEMS NEED TO BE OF GOOD QUALITY AND MUST NOT CONTAIN SILICONE. TEST THE PRODUCT FIRST. DOES NOT WORK RELIABLY ON ALL PLASTIC ITEMS AND PENS

 Use PVC (hard plastic) (OR recycled paper pens).  Use 150°C for 20 seconds (guideline) (Multi Pen Press)  Use SOFT pressure (guideline only).  Cut out and attach the print to the pen with heat tape (the heat tape must not cover any part of the design itself).  Place the pen on the bottom slot (for thin pens that sink into the bottom slot, place a piece of nomex pad in the bottom slot for support).  Close the press and make sure the top rubber pad lines up with your print to cover it completely when press is closed.  Press the ENTER button to start the timer.  When the timer alarm sounds, open the press and remove the pen.  Let the pen cool down completely.  Remove the heat tape and the Multi-trans paper.  To make the print scratch resistant, we recommend the use of  our Muggit Varnish spray to cure the print.  Please follow the application instructions on the can.

TRANSFER TO METAL

FLAT METAL ITEMS

 Preheat your flat press to 155°C / 311°F  Set the timer to 90 seconds  Use medium to heavy pressure

6

 For GHOST PRINTERS use 160°C / 320°F for 90 seconds  Make sure your metal item is not too thick. The press must be able to close.  Place the metal item on the rubber pad  Close press  Remove the metal item and let it cool down completely  Peel the paper off  Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C

METAL SPORTS BOTTLES (FOR USE WITH THICK ELEMENT MUG PRESS) & ENAMEL MUGS

 Preheat your mug press to 160°C / 320°F with an unprinted mug in the element  Set the timer to 160 seconds  For GHOST PRINTERS use 140°C / 285°F for 90 seconds  TAKE THE LID OFF the sports bottle  Place sports bottle/enamel mug to be printed into the mug press ensuring that the entire print is covered by the element when closed  Use light to medium pressure (your bottle will buckle if pressure is too tight)  Close press and start timer  When timer goes off, remove the sports bottle/enamel mug with a cloth and place somewhere to cool down for about 1 minute  DO NOT remove the Multitrans paper from the sports bottle/enamel mug  Place in a bucket with luke warm water until completely cool  Take the sports bottle out of the water and slowly and evenly peel the paper off  Clean with rubbing alcohol if necessary  Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C

* PLEASE NOTE that Multitrans CAN ’ T be printed TWICE ON THE GHOST PRINTER to add in a WHITE LAYER as the paper jams on the second pass. SHOULD YOU WISH TO DO FULL COLOUR ON ANY COLOUR BUT WHITE, THE WHITE LAYER MUST BE PRINTED on ONE PAGE and THE COLOUR LAYER MUST be printed on A SEPARATE PAGE OF MULTITRANS. The WHITE LAYER MUST BE TRANSFERRED TO THE OBJECT FIRST and then the paper with the COLOUR LAYER MUST BE ALIGNED WITH THE WHITE LAYER on the mug and the transfer process repeated.
