National Shrimp Festival

Frank Brown Songwriters Festival

Every October, the white sands of Gulf Shores transform into a vibrant celebration of seafood, music, and art during the Annual National Shrimp Festival. Scheduled for October, this four-day event is a cherished tradition that has been delighting locals and visitors alike for over 50 years. The festival boasts over 100 hours of live musi- cal entertainment across two stages, featuring a diverse lineup that includes country, classic rock, jazz, Motown, and zydeco artists. Food en- thusiasts can savor a plethora of shrimp dish- es—boiled, fried, grilled, and more—alongside other seafood favorites like crab cakes, conch fritters, and Cajun pistols.

The 41st annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival will feature nationally ac- claimed songwriters in venues along the Florida / Alabama Gulf Coast in November. The festival is an opportunity for seasoned and as- piring songwriters and musicians from all over the world to have their songs heard, and for the public to learn the stories behind the lyrics that only the song’s author can express. More than 200+ songwriters and over 600 performances, and over 2 dozen music stag- es. The largest gathering of national and local songwriters performing on the Florida coast.
