Needs and goals of each participant will be assessed and individual attention given as we work to achieve a higher level of proficiency in your skills. Learn how to set up a palette, mix colors, apply washes, and blend colors in exciting ways. Sanders, M.A. , will explore the Hollywood Production Code, also known as the Hays Code, and its complex role in film history—as both self-censorship and as catalyst for some of the most creative and exciting films in cinema history. We’ll also look at pre-code films as well as later films that pushed the code’s limits and paved the way for the ratings system, such as Some Like it Hot and The Man with the Golden Arm .
