English as a Second Language (ESL) Alliance for Lifelong Learning can help you improve your English speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. To Register Step 1: Complete the pre-registration form - scan this QR code or go to oakton.edu/conted , click on Adult Education , then click on English as a Second Language Step 2: Complete the registration form and follow instructions for scheduling a test time. Step 3: Take the placement test. Step 4: Begin class (you will receive your schedule and class information after the test). Registration is ongoing. Free ESL Classes * About the ESL Program • Teaches listening, speaking, reading, writing, and conversation skills. Introduces students to U.S. culture. • Designed for adults 16 years and older whose native language is not English and who are not enrolled in high school. • ESL classes are not intended for tourists and short-term visitors, but for those who live in the U.S. Note: Per ICCB (Illinois Community College Board) regulations, au pairs are only eligible for our Supplemental ESL classes (tuition required) and cannot enroll in the free ESL classes (see Supplemental ESL Classes below). They supplement the free ESL classes. Classes are designed for students who are at an intermediate or advanced level. Registration • To register and pay, visit oakton.edu/conted, select ESL, and select Supplemental ESL courses. • These classes are tuition based.
