Terms of Appointment Salary for this role: • £68,857 - 87,173, Professorial Equivalent Band I. • This is a full time, open ended position.
You will be professionally qualified with a relevant degree/ postgraduate qualification and relevant and substantial leadership experience. You will possess substantial experience and proven success in the management of a strategically important, broad function/specialist area. Applicants should demonstrate they meet the following criteria: Desirable qualifications • Chartered professional qualification in recognised technical body such as RICS or IAM. Experience • Substantial experience of implementing and operating to ISO 55000 or similar standard, to apply a sound life cycle approach to inform capital investment and maintenance programmes. Leadership • Ability to lead a multi-disciplined, professional team, providing clear direction, driving performance standards and ensuring equality, diversity and inclusivity. • Motivate, empower and coach a team of experts to deliver an excellent service in lin with the University’s values and a One University approach. • Provide technical advice on all property and asset management matters, and adapting it to a changing environment. Skill and attributes • Ability to explain complex information in a way that is meaningful to the receiver. • Ability to prioritise complex and multiple activities, managing team workloads to ensure delivery to cost, time and quality • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and key customers • Attention to detail to support informed decision making including appreciation of risk and cost-benefit analysis. • Ability to creates life cycle cost views of physical asset portfolios by developing business intelligence, including through verified asset data • Experience of Digital Asset Management principles across a range of areas, with the ability to act as a champion for Information Management • Analytical skills to review current processes, delivering improvements and innovation in line with Quality Management System best practice
Holidays: • A minimum of 41 days annual leave including bank holiday and closure days (pro rata) with the ability to purchase up to 10 days more of additional annual leave.
