Take-all Root Rot Timing for take-all root rot preventation begins in mid- to late-summer when the average soil temperature at a 2” depth taken at 11 am declines below 85ºF for three consecutive days. This activity is much higher than previously thought, requiring applications earlier in the late summer/early fall. Applications should be watered in with 0.125” and may need to be continued in extended mild and wet falls. PRO TIP : Research from NC State has demonstrated that foliar applications of a phosphonate like Signature™ XTRA Stressgard ® , when paired with a contact fungicide, can strengthen a take-all root rot program by reducing plant stress and improving photosynthetic efficiency
Large Patch Timing for large patch prevention begins in the fall when average soil temperatures at 2” depth fall to an average of 70-72ºF for five consecutive days when taken at 11:00 am. Additional large patch applications may be needed in the fall and winter depending on your species, location, temperature, and rainfall. Rotate applications to Densicor ® if the annual maximum of Mirage ® Stressgard ® has been reached (6.5 fl. oz. per 1,000 ft 2 per year). Large patch is a stem and crown disease so applications should not be watered in, but instead be applied in a carrier volume 1.0-2.0 gallons per 1000 square feet. The Envu program below has a satisfaction guarantee and if your expectations are not met, please contact your Envu Distributor or Envu Area Sales Manager.
