Harrell's 2026 Agronomic Resource Guide - TEST

Take-all Root Rot

Timing for take-all root rot prevention begins in mid- to late-summer when the average soil temperature at a 2” depth taken at 11 am declines below 85ºF for three consecutive days. Applications should be watered in with 0.125” and may need to be continued throughout the fall and winter, depending on location, species, rainfall, temperatures, dormancy, etc. The Envu program below has a satisfaction guarantee and if your expectations are not met, please contact your Envu Distributor or Envu Area Sales Manager.

1 Fame can be substituted with Castlon TM , as both of these fungicides contain the active ingredient fluoxastrobin

PRO TIP : Research from NC State has demonstrated that foliar applications of a phosphonate like Signature™ XTRA Stressgard ® , when paired with a contact fungicide, can strengthen a take-all root rot program by reducing plant stress and improving photosynthetic efficiency

Pythium Root Rot

Organisms causing Pythium root rot on cool-season greens become active earlier than previously thought, when average 2” soil temperatures reach 60ºF for three consecutive days. For warm-season putting greens, initiate applications in late-summer or early fall when soil temperatures drop below 80°F for three consecutive days. These applications should be watered-in with 0.125” of irrigation.
