Harrell's 2026 Agronomic Resource Guide - TEST

Nematodes Nematodes are a growing but often undetected pest problem in turfgrass throughout the United States, especially on low-mowed greens or other areas under stress. Nematodes often enhance root diseases confounding diagnosis and control. Nematode assays can help determine the type of nematode present and whether they are a concern. If current symptoms are validated with high nematode populations, curative applications of Indemnify should be made immediately. Consult your local area sales manager for specific timing and re-application interval. Re-applications will depend on the level of nematode populations/ damage. For courses where nematodes are not a major concern but wanting to be proactive with nematode management, apply Resilia™ root health solution at 4 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. A total of four applications can be made per year. For resistance management, consider including other MOAs for nematode control. For courses with a documented history of nematode damage, consider the following:

PRO TIP: If root-knot nematodes are suspected, request mist extraction, whereas sting nematodes are more accurately determined using traditional soil extraction techniques

Diseases in Newly Overseeded Fairways Constant irrigation to encourage establishment of perennial ryegrass overseeded into bermudagrass during the heat of early fall is highly conducive to damping off, primarily caused by species of Pythium & Rhizoctonia . Damping off can progress rapidly and quickly destroys a juvenile perennial ryegrass stand, so a preventative program is most effective.
