Maritime Paper Celebrates Installation Of Mitsubishi FFG

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia based Maritime Paper Products Limited announced the successful installation and com- missioning of its newest Mitsubishi EVOL 4-color Flexo Folder Gluer at its Dartmouth facility.

The company said the $18.8 million investment is the largest capital project in Maritime Paper’s history and marks a significant step in advancing its printing and con- verting capabilities. The occasion was celebrated with employees, in- vestment partners, customers, and elected officials from ACOA and Invest Nova Scotia, whose support has been instrumental in bringing theproject to life. With contributions including a $3.7 million business de- velopment incentive from Invest Nova Scotia and a $3 mil- lion repayable contribution from the Government of Can- ada (ACOA), this milestone reflects a shared commitment to innovation and growth in Atlantic Canada’s packaging industry. “This investment ensures that we are responsive to the increasing demand for sustainable products and that we remain modern, relevant, and efficient for our existing and future local and international customers. As Maritime Pa- per continues to grow, this initiative will increase our pro- duction capacity by approximately 33 percent,” said Shel- don Gouthro, President and CEO, Maritime Paper Products Limited.
