tegrated and easily retrofit on most stackers. The eBREAK Bundle Breaker—Converters can quickly and easily break bundles in a variety of configurations to improve end of line efficiency. The patent-pending mov- able platen design allows for fully dynamic and customiz- able positioning of both the entry and exit platen, indepen- dent or synchronized, to provide a clean break for variable, nested and offset blanks. Part of A.G.’s new eSERIES, the eBREAK Bundle Breaker is fully electric and fully integrat- ed into the takeoff line. eZF Load Former—Another addition in the new eSERIES line, the eZF Load Former is fully electric, pitless, and seamlessly integrates with A.G.’s Stacker and Bundle Breaker. The eZF is also a module that makes up the eZFa automatic loadformer. So, the customer can start with a semi-automatic load former and scale into a fully automat- ic load former. A.G. Customer Confidence Recent A.G. installations at Royal Containers Ltd. in Brampton and St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, illustrate the benefits of the company’s innovations. Adrian Pooran, Plant Manager for Royal’s flagship plant in Brampton, laud- ed the features of the A.G. Stacker recently installed on the company’s Serenco die-cutter. Pooran highlighted in particular the touchscreen layboy controls, giving Royal the ability to save unique settings for faster setups on re- peat orders, and the laser alignment features. “Using a beam of light, the laser line enables the op- erator to align the layboy arms to the die cut cylinder for a more accurate setting,” he wrote. From a quality control perspective, Pooran appreciates the “Accu-Nip” pressure control which applies even pressure for various Flute pro- files such as E, B, C, BC and EB double wall and various ECT grades. This even pressure control, he writes, is im- portant in ensuring scuff-free board transfer for Royal’s growing pre-print and digital print business. “This feature helps to ensure a seamless transition from the die cut section to the hopper,” he said. He added that A.G.’s incorporation of sensor technology from SICK Sen- sor Intelligence ensures the safety of operators working in the vicinity of the Stacker. “These SICK safety sensors run automatically to pro- tect the operator while the machine is running,” he said. “These sensors operate in proximity settings to ensure the stacker will not lower or raise while the sensor is obstruct- ed by an object or person.” Two hours west of Brampton, Royal’s plant in St. Thom- as, Ontario, also chose A.G. technology for two of its Bobst presses, with both stackers being OEM components. Mi- chel Alvarez, the Plant Manager, appreciates the quality and safety advances in A.G.’s designs. “We currently have two A.G. stackers,” he said. “One is behind our [Bobst] DRO three-color rotary die cutter—an XRI 115” installed 11 years ago as an original OEM installa-
