AVT Reverts To Standalone Brand

AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global provider of print inspection solutions for the label and flexible packaging industries, has returned to a standalone brand.

Women in Print Alliance, part of PRINTING United Alliance, has launched a series of initiatives designed to honor the contributions of women in the printing industry this March, and all year long. These programs aim to foster professional growth, facilitate meaningful connections, and advocate for increased diversity and inclusion within the sector. Con- tent highlighting women in the industry is also planned across Alliance media brand channels, including a new podcast dedicated to women who are transforming the industry. The launch of the new AVT follows the company’s acquisition by Porat Itay Holdings. After being acquired by Danaher in 2017 and subsequently integrated into Esko, AVT is now reclaiming its independent identity. The company remains dedicated to providing 100 percent defect detection, ROI-driven solutions, and AI-powered in- spection technologies. Converter Installs Nilpeter FA-22 Flexo Press IDArtes Impresores, Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia, has invested in its first Nilpeter press, a new FA-22 flexo press. The company recently completed a suc- cessful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Nil- peter’s production facility in Denmark, mark- ing the beginning of a new partnership.

“This year’s Women’s History Month theme - Women Educating & Inspiring Generations - is especially relevant to women in print,” said Lisbeth Lyons Black, director of Women in Print Alliance. “With four generations of women currently in the workforce, there are tremen- dous opportunities to learn from, and inspire, one another.” In 2024, Women in Print Alliance launched a formalized paid mem- bership program designed to provide even more enhanced benefits and greater accessibility for women at all stages of their careers. Memberships are available for individuals and corporations, and each offers unique benefits designed to support members’ professional growth through a mix of virtual and in-person benefits, with program- ming focused on topics like business expertise, career development, executive leadership, and work-life balance. Additional perks include ac- cess to members-only webinars, workshops and book chats, recognition at select industry conferences, and more. Student membership is free.
