A Statewide Law Firm

Many of our clients never come into the office. We use technology to handle their cases virtually all across Florida.

Growing Together With You

Imagine waking up one day and finding out that your bank account has been garnished and you have $3.82 to your name. Or, imagine getting a phone call in the middle of the day, saying that a loved one has been involved in a very tragic automobile accident; or imagine receiving a phone call saying that someone has passed away, and they have no will, and no one in the family knows what to do. Do I have your attention yet? Maybe this happened to you. Unfortunately, this is how many days start at The Dellutri Law Group. We are not complaining, we love our jobs, and we want to help as many people as we possibly can through the worst times of their lives. This is what we do, and I would like to think that we are pretty darn good at it. As we come to the end of 2023 and begin a new year, we would like all of our readers to stop and think about what they can do to prepare for the future. If you, or a loved one, are dealing with old debts that could garnish your accounts, or if you’ve been thinking about raising the limits on your automobile insurance, or if you’ve been thinking about getting a will or trust in place, now is the time to do it. As I’ve said one million times or more, you can’t buy more car insurance after the accident, and you can’t put a will in place after you have passed. LET US HELP Prepare for the Future With a Dellutri Law Strategy Session

So, we are going to put our money where our mouth is. As I stated before, we want to help as many people as we possibly can through the worst times in their lives. But wouldn’t it be nice knowing that if something were to happen, you had a plan in place. So, we are asking you to help us achieve our goals of protecting as many Floridians as we can. If you know someone who may need our assistance reviewing their auto insurance policy, an old debt, or is thinking about estate planning, and you are willing to send us a referral, we will meet with them for a complimentary strategy session. We will discuss their needs and give them a plan going forward. At the complimentary strategy session, there will be no hard sales pitch. I guarantee you that. However, they will be provided with ideas, options, and a plan going forward. It’s our Christmas gift to you as a way of saying thank you for allowing us to handle your matter and your willingness to provide us with a referral.

Happy with our service? We’d love to hear from you! We are always honored when our clients and associates refer their friends, family, and colleagues our way — or simply say kind things about our firm. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. We’re here to help!

Reach us any time at 888-889-8899 or DellutriLawGroup.com If you’d like to leave us a review, feel free to scan the QR code. We appreciate every word!

We promise to treat them as well as we treated you.

Top 5 Legal Choices for Soon-to-Be-Married Couples

Beneficiary Designations: Review and update beneficiary designations on insurance policies, retirement accounts, and other

Are you getting married soon, thinking about getting married, or know someone getting married? If so, there are several important legal choices that soon-to-be-married couples need to consider before saying “I do.” These choices can help protect their financial interests, ensure a smooth partnership, and provide for their future. Here are the top five legal choices that married couples should make. Marriage License: Obtain a marriage license from your local government or jurisdiction. This legal document is required to officially recognize your marriage. Be sure to follow the specific requirements and rules of your area. Failing to follow the rules could invalidate your marriage. Prenuptial Agreement: While prenuptial agreements are often associated with protecting assets in case of divorce, they can also be used to clarify financial matters and responsibilities during the marriage. Discussing and creating a prenuptial agreement can help both partners understand each other’s financial expectations and protect each other’s interests. Estate Planning: Create or update your estate plan, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. This is especially important if either spouse has significant assets, children from a previous marriage, or specific wishes for the distribution of their assets upon their passing.

financial assets. This ensures that in the event of one spouse’s untimely death, the other is appropriately provided for and can avoid probate complications. Name Change (if desired): If one or both spouses wish to change their last name, follow the legal process in your jurisdiction to update your identification documents, such as your driver’s license, Social Security card, and passport, to reflect your new name. While these are the top five legal choices, couples may need to address many other decisions and legal considerations depending on their individual circumstances. It’s important to consult with an attorney who specializes in estate planning to ensure you address all relevant legal matters when getting married so you are not caught off guard. Bonus Tip: After you are married and you want to protect your marital funds from your spouse’s pre-marital creditors, you should go to the bank and close all of your personal bank accounts and open a new bank account in the name of the marriage. This account will provide protection for marital funds from one spouse’s individual creditors, but you must check the correct box. Don’t let the banker click this box for you. Click the box with the Tenancy by the Entirety language.

“Originally, the attorney I had been using left the firm. I was given the option of following that attorney or being appointed another attorney from this firm. For whatever reason, I decided to stay with the firm and they introduced me to Carmen. All I can say is wow. He is amazing and that is an understatement. The man is a beast in a courtroom. He told me a couple of weeks ago, ‘Margie, I don’t like to lose,’ and he certainly proved that. I was so impressed with his knowledge and actions during the hearing that I didn’t even care if I won because I could tell he busted out all the arsenal that existed and presented it fiercely. Well, we did win! The secondhand embarrassment I felt for the opposing attorney was tremendous hahaha. I am thankful to have won our money back … but more than that, I am so deeply impressed by not only his fight tactics but also his attitude. I’ve spoken to a ton of attorneys in my life, and 98% of them are jerks and cocky. Carmen is not. He was very thorough and patient during all interactions. I 100% recommend this firm.” –Margie B. Skillet Chicken Pot Pie 4 Helping Our Veterans This Holiday Season

Supporting Our Heroes in Need DELLUTRI PROUDLY SUPPORTS PATRIOT RIDERS OF AMERICA

Dellutri Law Group is proud to support the Patriot Riders of America, a nonprofit organization based in Port Charlotte that raises money for local military veterans who have fallen on hard times.

The organizations help veterans who currently lack stable housing. These heroes have come home from war zones only to be engaged in a different kind of war. They lack employment opportunities and struggle to provide for themselves. Patriot Riders of America provides temporary accommodations for homeless veterans and the means to become self-sufficient. The organization is raising funds to build or buy a building that could serve as temporary living quarters until veterans can return to mainstream society. That vacancy will provide an opportunity for another veteran, then another, then another, until we win this war on homelessness. The size and cost of housing depend on the amount they can raise through grants, private funding, and other efforts.

Our law firm is deeply committed to honoring the service of military veterans by extending support beyond the courtroom. To this end, we actively contribute to and collaborate with various nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of veterans and supporting health care, housing, and job training programs. We recognize the courage and sacrifice of those who have worn the uniform, and it is our privilege to assist them in their post-service lives. We also encourage our staff to volunteer their time to veteran-related causes, fostering a culture of gratitude and service within our team. Our commitment is to ensure our nation’s heroes receive the community support and recognition they deserve, and we are dedicated to being a part of that. For us, it’s about standing with our veterans as they transition to civilian life, just as they once stood for us.
