It is in some respects based on our at titude toward our brethren. If we refuse to forgive those who hurt us, how can we have the impudence or presumption to ask the Father to forgive us? He expects the children in the family to forgive one another and thus maintain sweet fellowship together and with Himself. Fraternal Forgiveness. E p h . 4:32. “ To forgive is kingly and godly.” To hold a grudge is evil and of Satan. The devil is called the .“ accuser of the brethren.” So one should be forgiving in his business. Refusal to forgive entails much time, labor, and expense in avoid ing the one that is not forgiven. To forgive brings peace to the mind and joy to the heart. To have a forgiving spirit adds to one’s usefulness and fel lowship. The harboring of hard feelings in the heart hinders growth in grace and prevents a union of hearts in the service of the King. We should forgive as our Lord has forgiven us. Social Forgiveness. Mark 11:25. All through life we shall constantly find that offense will be given for some reason or for no reason. We live in a world of sin and selfishness. Others will want what we have and will do their utmost to take us out of their way. We need to forgive our neighbors for dis turbing our sleep in their riotous living. We must forgive the one who crowds ahead of us to get a seat. We should forgive those who malign us and speak against us. This is God’s will and God’s plan for His children. Mormonism teaches the plurality of wives: “ The principle of plurality of wives never will be done away, although some sisters have had revelations that when this time passes away, and they go through the veil, every woman will have a husband to herself. I wish more of our young men would take to them selves wives of the daughters of Zion, and not wait for us old men to take them all. Go ahead upon the right prin ciple, young gentlemen, and God bless you forever and ever, and make you fruitful, that we may fill the moun tains, and then the earth, with right eous inhabitants” ( President Heber C.
