We have two options for members to celebrate: Option 1: On Wednesday, 24 November members may pickup a Thanksgiving Dinner ‘to go’ meal at the Clubhouse. The meal includes an uncooked turkey and side dishes which are fully prepared and ready to be reheated at home. Cooking instructions for the turkey - and reheating instructions for the side dishes - will be provided. The ‘to go’ Thanksgiving Dinner meal serves four people and is $147 plus tax. We are taking orders from now until 12 noon on Wednesday, 17 November. Click here for details including the menu and to order. Saturday, 11 December $48 per person - price includes round trip bus transportation to MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, NJ and snacks. Members must procure their own ticket to the game and may bring their own food. The bus will depart promptly at 10:00 AM. Join us on Wednesday, 17 November at 6:30 PM for holiday wine dinner. The Fairfax food and beverage team members are working with sommelier Laurent Lala of Elite Wines to bring you a fun filled evening with great wines paired with delicious food. ANCC Executive Chef Andrew Powers and his team have created a paired menu that will further enhance your dining experience! The cost for Members is $110 per person and wine club members is $100 per person. The dress code is Country Club Casual (collared shirt and slacks for men, like attire for ladies). There is a 48-hour cancellation policy in effect for this event. The event is limit- ed to 60 people. THANKSGIVING TEE TIMES Tee times for Thanksgiving Day, 25 November will be assigned by lottery on Monday, 22 November. Lottery requests for Thanksgiving Day will open on Friday, 19 November. Requests for the Group Permission Allowance (GPA) lottery must be received no later than Monday, 15 November.
Fairfax 6 Nov - Thanksgiving Scramble UPCOMING EVENTS
Can you believe Turkey Day is just around the corner and it is time to get your team together for the 24 th Annual Thanksgiving Scramble scheduled for Saturday, 6 November at the FFX course. This tournament has become one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year. It is a great way to start the holiday season, get out with friends and enjoy a fun day of golf before that bad Washington winter hits! Entry forms will be available on-line beginning 6 October so do not delay. The field is limited to the first 32 teams and the event sells out quickly every year! WNHGO Winter Golf Season WNHGO Winter Golf season begins 1 November and ends 31 March. Winter golf allows you to play anytime and with whomever you choose to play with. The winner golf sign-up sheets are posted in the Fairfax and Arlington Ladies Locker Rooms and players are to post their scores on these sheets. A total of 10 rounds of Goff must be played only at ANCC courses. The cost of winter golf is $10. CWGO: CAREERWOMEN’S GOLF ORGANIZATION
The Career Women’s group is wrapping up another year. Congratulations to all our tournament winners but especially the top finishers in CWGO match Play. The winner of the Championship flight was Emily McGee while second place went to ER Anderson. The first flight winner was Margaret Ann Conners with second going to Bev Winston. Finally, the second flight winner was Emily Graves-Odria with second going to Mary Ann Cronin. Our fall offsite outing was held at Lansdowne September 25-26. The weather was absolutely beautiful and following a sound beating by two very difficult courses we crowned a new WWOFO Queen, Jennifer Lednicky. She is already hard at work planning WWOFO 2022. Many thanks to our 2020 Queen, Samantha Haberlach and VP Kelly McGowan for all their hard work in putting our 2021 event together. Our end of the year dinner and business meeting will be 3 November. We take this opportunity to thank the professional staff and the many volunteers that make our organization run. Elections will be held for the coming year as planning for an even better 2022 begins. Most group exercise classes are offered both in person and on Zoom. You have the option to subscribe one month at a time or ongoing, or to register for single classes. Monthly subscription rates are $35 for Standard Classes and $50 for Specialty Classes. You may participate in individual Standard Classes for $15/ class or individual Specialty Classes for $20/class. This class is a physically challenging class that is suitable for all levels. In this class you will gain strength, balance, grace, flexibility, and endurance. Get ready to sweat!
YOGA FUSION (HYBRID) Saturdays at 8:30 AM
We begin with a warm-up, then about 15 min. of vinyasa flow to build heat. Next is a 15 min. segment of strength training with yoga poses followed by stretching, cooldown and relaxation.
