Drive disqualified, breach and over 80 Phillip Poirier, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 28 and charged with over 80, driving while disqualified and breach of probation for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. The man was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the area of Twelfth Street and Pitt Street. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17. Mischief A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 29 and charged with mischief. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 15. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. Theft under $5,000 Lise Dufresne, 47, and Carmen Tarbell, 49, both of Cornwall, were arrested on March 30 and charged with theft under $5000. Dufresne was also charged with breaching her probation order for failing to keep the peace. Lise Dufresne was later released to appear in court on May 1 and Carmen Tarbell was released to appear in court on May 6. Assault, assault with a weapon A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 31 and charged with as- sault and assault with a weapon. The woman was taken into custody, charged ac- cordingly and later released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. Sexual assault A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested onMarch 31 and charged with sexual as- sault. It is alleged that in early March the man inappropriately touched his 27-year- old ex-girlfriend. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. Warrant Bruce Taylor, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 1 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on June 25, 2013, the man took meat from a Vincent Massey Drive store and police were contacted to investigate. He was later released to appear in court on May 15. Drug warrant Cory Brisson, 33, and Chelsy Hart, 24, both of Cornwall, were arrested on April 1 and charged with several drug-related charges as well as weapon charges. It is alleged that on April 1, members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a war- rant at a Seymour Street address and during their investigation, found drugs total- ling a street value of some $2,000. Hart was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of percocet, possession of marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of prop- erty obtained by crime as well as possession of a weapon. She was later released to appear in court on May 15. Brisson was charged with possession of cocaine, posses- sion of percocet, possession of marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon, breach of probation and breach of a prohibition order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Threats A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 2 and charged with threats to life. It is alleged that during the month of March the woman threatened to shoot her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter. Fraud Samantha McCormick, 18, of Maxville, was arrested on April 2 and charged with two counts of fraud under $5000 and unauthorized use of a credit card. She was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 15. Theft under $5,000, mischief, fraud, attempt fraud Peter Laxton, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 3 and charged with five counts of mischief under $5000, two counts of theft under $5000, fraud under $5000, at- tempt of fraud and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Breach A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 28 and charged with breach of recognizance for having communicated with someone he is not allowed to and for having failed to keep the peace. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in a previous domestic incident. Bonnie Thompson, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 1 and charged with five counts of breach of undertaking for being at a store that she is prohibited going to and failing to keep the peace. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Jeffrey Goulet, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 3 and charged with failing to appear for prints. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 22. Adam Albers, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 3 and charged with breaching an undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing. Theft under, breach Bonnie Thompson, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 28 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of two undertakings for having failed to keep the peace. Police assumed custody of the woman, charged her accordingly and later released her to appear in court on May 1.
