MSc FAQs

How do you submit an application and what is the process? The application process is online and there is no interview. Applicants will have to pay an application fee (for 2025 entry, this will be £75). Applicants can make more than one application but there will be an application fee for each application. We recommend applicants provide a tailored personal statement for each course they apply for. The required documents to apply are: ■ Undergraduate transcripts (and a list of final year modules if they are still studying) ■ Personal statement ■ CV ■ Details of at least one academic referee. Following the submission of an application and payment of the application fee, the applicant will receive an email from the Postgraduate Admissions team with a Warwick ID number and a link to access the upload facility. They can then upload the supporting documents in order for the application to be considered. The turnaround time is usually between eight to 12 weeks. Processing times vary and may take longer during busier periods. Applicants should read the entry requirements carefully on the WBS website. What are the deadlines for application? The deadline for all UK, EU and international applications is 2 August. However, places are limited, so they should submit their application as soon as possible. If all places are filled, we will close the course for applications before this date.

What is the guidance for applicants with work experience? Our MSc courses are designed as pre- experience courses and many students will have recently graduated and may have little or no work experience. Having said that, there are a mixture of students of all ages and backgrounds on all of our courses and the fact that someone has several years work experience does not mean that they will not be suitable for the course; it simply means that they are likely to be studying alongside students with less work experience than themselves. If a candidate has significant work experience, they may be more suited to one of our MBA courses. Those applying to MSc Management and MSc International Business with three or more years of post-graduation professional business experience are typically better suited to our Full-time MBA programme.

Do applicants need to take an English language test?

All of our MSc courses have English language requirements which are fully detailed in the entry requirements for each course. If an applicant is a non-native English speaker and has been educated entirely in English for the duration of their degree, and completed this qualification within the last two years, this may be sufficient to satisfy the University of their language skills without the need for a formal test. Applicants should speak to the Masters Recruitment team about their individual situation. When will an applicant get their CAS? The CAS process will usually start in May depending on UK Visas and Immigration processes. To avoid any unnecessary delays, applicants should check their emails regularly and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. CAS cannot be assigned if an applicant has not accepted their offer and paid a deposit.
