Off to Guatemala!
Bonnie James, formerly of Russell, has been growing popcorn on the Russell-area farm, Panadale Farm, of her parents, George and Judy James, then preparing it for retail sale and selling it at farmers’ markets. Here James is shown at the Living Locally Fair held in Russell in January. Popcorn is a niche market and one suitable for small venues.

Patrick O’Neill, Alexis Mawko and Rob Fetzer, (shown) along with Kaitlin Beach and Samantha Diamond, are off to Guatemala during the St. Thomas Aquinas High School students’ March break. There they will work with local residents to help build a mission. The students are fundraising for their trip and here they were taking donations in exchange for drinks and snacks at the Living Locally Fair held at the school in Russell recently.
