JOB FAIRS Many different organizations have job fairs or other types of hiring events featuring employers who want to speak to potential employees. Ideally, job seekers have a chance to meet with company representatives who can help them find employment. Job fairs are great networking opportunities because you have a chance to speak directly to employers. In a perfect world, those employers have jobs to offer, but even if they don’t, it’s a chance to introduce yourself. All employers eventually need new employees, that is why they have a presence at job fairs.
Job fairs can be a mixed experience. Attend them with the hope of making a few connections. They are just one additional tool to help you find your next job.
