While Facebook and Instagram are generally used for sharing personal content, it is important to remember that it is being viewed by your network. These are the very people you are looking to provide you with leads to jobs, so give them a reason to reach out. Posting that you are currently looking for opportunities within a specific line of work will give them the information they need to assist you if they can.
Employers may also be able to view what you post, so be careful not to post content that could hurt your chances of creating a good impression.
