It might be time to look at other options for your career path. This could mean self-employment. Starting your own business is a dream that many people don’t make a reality until they become unemployed. You could start your dream business, buy an existing one or enlist in a franchise program. Each of these career paths have an enviable advantage in that the only person who can fire you is yourself. Be aware that this strategy also comes with a high failure rate. Many people who are very good at their job aren’t prepared for the reality of all that is involved in starting their own business.
