He is the Student Body President. He serves on the University President’s cabinet as well as on all major Univer- sity committees. In this position he is also the Tennessee Board of Regents Student Representative. He serves as the Polemarch of Theta Beta He is a member of the Golden Key Honors Society, Order of Omega Honors Society, Eta Sigma Gamma Honors Soci- ety, and the National Achievers Honors Society. He is the recipient of the Knoxville (TN) Alumni Emory Louis Scholarship, the Alpha Pi Omega Foundation Schol- arship and the Project Grad Scholarship The Dean’s List member was also a participant in LEAD Kappa.

HU Derek Anderson Mississippi State University Eta Upsilon 2017 B rother Anderson is a senior who is majoring in Mechanical Engineer- ing at Mississippi State University. The Spring 2017 initiate has a 3.69 GPA and is Chapter Polemarch. He is also the Treasurer for the National Pan-Hellenic Council. His involvement on campus includes being a mentor for the Mechanical Engineering Minority Organization and a member of the Shackouls Honors College. Brother Anderson serves as an Officer Candidate for the United States Navy, and upon graduation will begin his service as a Naval Reactors Engineer, headquartered in Washington, D.C.

MR Michael James Curtis University of Tennessee- Knoxville Mu Rho 2016 B rother Curtis is a senior majoring in Nursing and whose favorite courses are: Transcultural Nursing & Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing. Brother Curtis is Student Body Vice President and President of Student Sen- ate. Other extracurricular involvement including being a member of the follow- ing organizations: Leadership Knoxville Scholars, Student Alumni Associates, Brothers United for Excellence, Na- tional Association for the Advance- ment of Colored People, Multicultural Mentoring Program, Orientation Leader (Student Director Staff) and serving as the Ignite Team Leader of IGNITE Program. He has earned the Torch Award, the John C. Lewis Leadership Award, Multicultural Student Life Community Service Award, Kappa Scholar, South Central Province and the Tennessee HOPE scholarship.

ZB Kendall Chalk Prairie View A&M University Zeta Beta 2017 B rother Chalk is a junior majoring in Criminal Justice. On campus, he has served as Mr. Sophomore and Mr. Junior. He was named Community Assistant of the Year for his housing property he manages. He also takes part in many activities on campus such as SGA and has assisted with or won a total of five pageants.
