This is possible due to the processes in place at our Waste Recycling Centre in West Sussex . The services we offer are available to all; corporate clients, business users, householders and local builders. With services ranging from site clearances and mini skip hire through to large roll on roll off containers no job is too big or too small. Hazardous Waste: Our specialist Hazardous Waste Team are qualified to advise on all aspects of hazardous waste disposal . We can list, pack, prepare for transportation, transport, process, treat and dispose of all types of hazardous waste in accordance with current legislative requirements. Trade Waste: Cox Skips provides a commercial waste collection service for businesses in the South East. This can be from as little as one bag a week to the supply of large Euro bin containers for a more regular collection. We supply the bins, the collection and the paperwork. THE RECYCLING PARTNERSHIP Ltd provides a commercial recycling collection service for businesses in the South East. Services include collection of Glass, drinks cans, office paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and food tins. Prices start from just £3.00 per week. We process as much waste as possible using our own fully licensed Waste Recycling Centre. This facility allows us to separate recyclables and process in the most efficient way. With our Site Clearance Service Cox will provide the wheels, the manpower and the required documentation to safely collect and dispose of all waste items large and small. We will collect mixed general waste as well as Hazardous wastes such as TV’s, monitors, fridges, and Cement Bonded Asbestos. House clearance? Warehouse clearance? Site clearance? We take care of everything including separating recyclable waste, arranging extra staff for larger sites, providing the appropriate collection vehicles and locking up at the end of the job. Site Clearance: Our professional approach allows us to provide the highest standard of service with a rapid response to all enquiries. Since the introduction of new legislation in 2008 plasterboard and gypsum based products can no longer be sent to landfill and must be recycled. Cox Skips have the solution to your plasterboard and other gypsum based products recycling needs. We provide a separate collection of all plasterboard products. Q: What size skip do I need? Depends on the type & amount of waste. We are happy to help you choose the right size. Q: How quickly can you deliver a skip or rolonof? Same or next-day delivery is often possible, depending on availability & location. We recommend 24-48hrs notice – more if it is around a bank holiday. Contact us for your urgent needs. Q: How much notice do you need for collections/ exchanges? We do not automatically come & collect the skip. You need to contact us to arrange a collection/ Exchange. We would recommend providing at least a couple of days’ notice, more if it is during peak times/ bank holidays. Q: Can I schedule regular collections or exchanges? Yes – we offer contract hire, on-demand collections, & scheduled services to suit your project or business needs! Q: What if the skip is full & I still have waste? We can arrange for an exchange – just give us a call to collect & deliver a new skip. This is an additional charge. Q: What can I put in a skip? General household waste, furniture, garden waste, wood, plastics, non-electrical fittings, & rubble are usually fine. Speak to us about any electrical items.

Q: What can’t I put in a skip? No hazardous materials such as asbestos, tyres, paints, solvents, fridges, TVs, or batteries. Ask us for a fully comprehensive list. Q: Do I need a permit for the skip? Only if it is not to place placed on your own private property i.e. on a public road or verge. We can arrange the permit with your local council if needed. Parking suspensions will need to be applied for by you. Contact us for more details. Q: What if I have got nowhere to put a skip? We can offer a wait & load service. This is where the driver will turn up with the skip – wait with it whilst it is loaded & then take it away*. Wait & load service is the skip price up to 30 minutes waiting time. Time in excess of 30 minutes is chargeable. *Please note the waiting area needs to be suitable i.e. cannot be on a red route/ any charges incurred by waiting from public/ private authorities will be payable by you. Q: Will the skip damage my driveway? We do not supply boards to go under the skip. You will need to ensure that the surface/ access for the vehicle & where the skip is to be placed is suitable for that size vehicle & skip. Heavy skips can leave marks. Let us know about your surface in advance.

Q: How long can I keep the skip? Our standard hire is 7–14 days & up to a maximum of 28 days, but we’re flexible. We may apply rental charges depending on length of hire. Let us know if you need it longer. Q: Can the skip be delivered over a wall or fence? Generally, no, unless it is a low wall. Flat, clear access is needed for delivery. Our drivers will make an assessment on arrival & where there is a risk of damage to the property/ surface we will bring this to your attention & may ask you to sign a disclaimer before we proceed. Q: Can you provide waste transfer notes or reports? Yes – we provide all necessary documentation including Waste Transfer Notes & can supply reporting for compliance or audits.

Simpler Recycling Businesses, schools & hospitals with ten or more full-time employees must follow the new legislation & separate the specified waste streams. This new legislation aims to clear up confusion over recyclable and non-recyclable materials & standardise recycling practices for homes, workplaces, and schools. Changes include:
→ *Uniform Recycling Materials
All businesses with over 10 employees must now set up waste collections for all recyclable waste. This includes dry mixed recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminium), food waste and glass recycling.
→ *Mandatory Weekly Food Waste Collections
Businesses with over 10 employees must now separate all food waste into a food waste bin. This change is expected to significantly reduce food waste going to landfill and the associated methane emissions.

Q: Does my business need a Waste Transfer Note/Duty of Care? Yes, businesses in the UK are generally required to have a waste transfer note (WTN)for each load of non-hazardous commercial waste that leaves their premises. This document is a legal requirement and helps ensure proper waste management and disposal practices. Q: Is my business allowed to throw batteries in the bin? No. You should not put batteries in a general commercial waste bin. Batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, can pose a fire hazard and should be recycled separately. They contain hazardous material and valuable resources that can be recovered through proper recycling. Please let us know should you require costs for bulk battery disposal. Q: What is the environmental charge (EC) on the invoice? The Environmental Compliance charge is an Annual Fee for the administration of your account and includes the issue of Duty of Care certificate. Q: Why do I have more than one invoice? Should the service started mid-month, their 1st invoice will include separate charges per month, such as the monthly service charge, along with any delivery costs, the EC. Any excess weight charges are carried to the following month’s invoice.
