ICPF Announces Student Design Winners

Receiving the BWA award demonstrates the com- mitment that Inland has made to its employees. Vetaphone Collaborates With TC Transcontinental Vetaphone, a manufacturer of Corona & Plasma sys- tems, has collaborated with TC Transcontinental, for- merly Coveris Advanced Coatings, to install Corona systems at its U.S. manufacturing plant in Matthews, North Carolina, as part of a strategic plan to standard- ize production with its sister plant in the United Kingdom. The new system allows TC Transcontinen- tal to expand its product portfolio for advanced coat- ings and provide current and potential customers with additional services. The newest unit installed at Transcontinental Matthews is a VE1C model with a 1920mm width powered by 6kW iCorona generator. Of the many production lines at Transcontinental Matthews, two are now equipped with Vetaphone corona treaters.
The ICPF Teleconference on February 21 includ- ed ICPF’s 2019 Student Design Presentation Com- petition. Three student teams from Cal Poly, and University of Texas at Arlington, were tasked to show, tell and sell their designs — which won first or second place in a separate 2018 design competi- tion conducted by AICC — by explaining the ob- jective, the research conducted, design and other background. One Cal Poly team secured first place; second place went to the University of Texas – Arlington student team and the second Cal Poly student team won third place.All three teams received cash prizes. Inland Wins Best Workplace In Americas 2019 Award Inland, a third generation, family-owned packaging and label printing company, has been announced a winner of the Best Workplace in the Americas (BWA) award for the fifth year in a row. The award is given by the Printing Industries of America to recognize the efforts companies put in to making their workplaces exceptional.
