R ottguard DLP fire suppression systems are trusted by Ireland’s leading companies, having been tested to LPS 1666 by BRE Global, certified by Exova and approved by SGS for PED compliance. The systems are manufactured in accordance with ISO quality standards at Rottguard Fire System Ltd’s fully equipped facility in Co. Cork. A purpose- built training room and adjoining show room, enables the specialist manufacturer to train customers on its DLP system and a range of other fire suppression, detection and alarm systems. All courses can be tailor made to individual customer needs. Gerard Linehan, MD of Rottguard Fire Systems explains, “By use of system mock-ups, we teach how fire suppression systems are installed, serviced and demonstrate how they extinguish test fires. Our training modules cover the theoretical aspects of system design, and are all supported by training manuals.” Gerard is extremely well qualified and experienced within the electrical and
fire suppression, detection and alarm system sectors in Ireland, Europe, USA and the Middle East. Formerly working for the Electricity Supply Board and a chemical factory electrical department, he subsequently attained skills and expertise with two of Ireland’s largest fire protection companies. Later he trained with LPCB, Hygood UK, Janus Fire & Badger Fire USA, Telefire Israel and Amerex. He is also certified by the NFPA on the design of fire suppression systems for special applications. This level of experience, skills and expertise – along with its committed staff and agents – have attributed to Rottguard’s continuing success. In addition to its manufacturing division, Rottguard is Ireland’s agent for Lehavot and Klents fire suppression systems, Coltraco ultrasonic test instruments, Prosense gas detection and Telefire fire
