Bronze Cross and Basic First Aid (BFA) Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for the Society’s National Lifeguard and leadership certification programs. Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion. Bronze Cross participants without a safety kit from Bronze Medallion are required to purchase one at the Customer Service Desk at the Simcoe Recreation Centre on or before the course start date. Safety kit: Pocket Mask, whistle and pouch is a mandatory purchase for Bronze Medallion (not included in the fees) $27.50.
