Housing and Homelessness Services If you need help finding a safe, affordable place to live—or keeping the home you have—we’re here for you. We can help you: • Access down payment assistance if you are thinking about buying a home • Find affordable housing or reduce the amount you pay for rent through Rent- Geared-to-Income (RGI) housing or the Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit • Pay rent or utility bills or prevent eviction • Find short-term housing in emergencies
Financial Assistance (Ontario Works) Access financial assistance, find employment services, and get support for health, housing, and basic needs. We can help you: • Access financial assistance for basic needs and shelter • Get coverage for prescriptions and special health needs • Refer you to employment and training supports through Employment Ontario Apply online at Ontario.ca/Social Assistance or call 1-888-789-4199.
