2026 Municipal Election The next Norfolk County municipal election happening this October will use a hybrid voting system, combining online and in-person voting.
Online voting: NEW for 2026
Online voting will run from Friday, October 9, 2026 to Friday, October 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Online voting offers a modern, efficient, and accessible way for electors to participate in the election. Online voting enables electors to cast their ballots from a computer or mobile device anywhere over the internet during the designated advanced voting period. Online voting can also speed up the tabulation of election results. In-person Online Voting Assistance Centres will be set up to assist with online voting.
There will also be an opportunity at these locations to vote using paper ballots as an advance voting option. Eligible voters will receive a Voter Information Letter by mail with their unique Voter PIN, full name and address. This letter will provide a link to the online voting portal, and instructions on how to begin online voting. If you have not received a Voter Information Letter in the mail by October 9, 2026, contact the Office of the County Clerk by phone at 519-426-5870 or 226-NORFOLK, extension 6269, or email elections@norfolkcounty.ca.
