Rylston Weybridge Register Office
For more than 25 years, couples have chosen Rylston as the setting for one of life’s most meaningful moments. Combining the character of a historic manor house with modern comforts and beautiful surroundings, Rylston offers a welcoming and memorable place to celebrate your marriage or civil partnership. Built in 1911, this grand detached manor house on the outskirts of Weybridge has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, enhancing its charm while preserving its historic character. The venue now offers two ceremony rooms, each providing a distinctive setting for your celebration. The newly refurbished Oatlands Room is ideal for intimate ceremonies with up to 20 guests (plus the couple). Featuring calming green tones, elegant floral arrangements and contemporary furnishings, it provides relaxed yet sophisticated surroundings in which to say ‘I do’. The larger Rylston Room accommodates up to 48 guests (plus the couple) and offers a long aisle for a memorable entrance. Recently refurbished, the room now features soft neutral tones, sparkling chandeliers and a grand bay window overlooking the grounds. Set within more than an acre of secluded landscaped gardens, Rylston offers an exclusive backdrop for photographs after each ceremony.
The venue is fully accessible and includes a comfortable waiting area for guests, along with free on-site parking. History of Rylston The area known as Oatlands, where Rylston stands today, was once part of the royal hunting grounds used by Henry VIII. The earliest record of land specifically known as Rylston dates from 14 October 1874. The house was built in 1911 on the instructions of Frederick Smith and was described as a private residence with servants’ quarters. The property became known as Rylston and remained a private dwelling until Surrey County Council purchased it in 1963. In 1991, Rylston was designated as a register office and officially opened for ceremonies on 1 March 1993.
