TH E M ID -W INTER BIBLE CONFERENCE O u r M id-w inter Bible C o n feren ce w as held in th e F irst M. E. c h u rch in th e h e a rt of th e city, Ja n u a ry 19-28, inclusive. T h e first session w as held on S unday afte rn o o n a t 2 :3 0 o ’clock w ith a full house. Services w ere co n d u cted every a fte rn o o n a n d even­ in g d u rin g th e w eek days excep tin g S at­ u rd a y land th e a tte n d a n c e a v era g ed from 1 100 to 1200 p eople a t e ach m eeting. It w as q u ite rem a rk ab le th a t fo r sixteen con­ secutive sessions such a larg e n um b er of m en a n d w om en could be held fo r th e ex­ p o sition of th e W o rd of God. T h e p u rp o se of th e In stitu te in its class room w o rk is n o t m erely to in stru c t th e stu d e n ts in th e teach in g s of th e Bible, but to sen d o u t m en a n d w om en of sterlin g C h ristian c h a ra c te r a n d a b u rn in g zeal to use th e ir know ledge to w in m en to C hrist. A new catalo g u e w as issued co n tain in g th e. in fo rm atio n re g ard in g th e Institute w hich is necessary to a n in ten d in g student. O v er 1000 of these have been judiciously distributed, larg ely in a n sw e r to requests. A Bible c o n feren ce *was held in May w hich w as g re atly blessed.
