This course is designed to develop acting skills in singers who wish to perform on the lyric stage. Students will be taught techniques for text and character analysis and will explore various music-theatre styles through observation and impro- visation, and will apply these concepts to the performance of excerpts from contemporary music theatre and opera repertoire.
