Elementary French 4 Basic principles of pronunciation and grammar, vocabulary drill, graded reading. From the beginning, classroom conversations in French. Lecture/Lab Hours: Five hours each week. Prerequisite: 101 or equivalent. Students with high school French should consult with the department for placement. Notes: Students desiring to enroll in French should do so during the freshman and sophomore years. It is impossible to complete general education requirements (B.A. degree) if the student starts in the senior year.
