TTDE 877 Candidacy Exam Capstone Course During dissertation studies, students are given full-time status for up to four semesters of TTDE 891. This component typically requires three to five semesters. A fee equivalent to 3 credits of tuition is required for each semester registered. Dissertation advisors are available to supervise dissertations during the regular Fall and Spring terms only.

Courses Educational Studies (TTDE)

TTDE 801 - Philosophical Issues in Educational Studies An advanced course in which students examine philosophical issues relevant to educational studies from a Christian worldview perspective. Emphasis is placed on enhancing critical thinking about educational issues primarily through the preparation of several critical book reviews suitable for publication. Credit(s): 3. TTDE 803 - Theories of Teaching and Learning Foundational course for the Teaching Foundations and Christian Formation concentration providing an advanced study of the processes of Christian formation, learning, and teaching. Course explores the interrelationship of knowledge, faith, intellect, personality, morality, and culture as it relates to the process of Christian sanctification. Provides theological and theoretical knowledge about human nature and learning and implications for teaching efforts to promote Christian formation. Note(s): Should be taken early in the program. Credit(s): 3.
