The candidate must complete the online Master of Arts in Education with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. 2. The candidate must successfully complete one Capstone, and all professional requirements (i.e., portfolio) related to the coursework and learning outcomes. 3. A minimum of 38 units is required for the online Master of Arts in Education. 4. The candidate must meet with a department advisor and Graduate Graduation Counselor in the Office of the Registrar one year prior to graduation to declare intent to graduate. (See Graduate Graduation Check description in Admissions, Registration & Graduation Requirements section). Transfer of Credits / Units Students transferring from an accredited graduate program may transfer a maximum of six (6) approved units for their M.A. in Education. Courses transferred must be equivalent to Biola University ʼ s and have direct applicability to the student ʼ s program design. Only courses with a grade of “B” (3.0) on a 4.0 grade scale or higher will be considered for transfer towards the M.A. in Education degree; a grade of “B-“ is not transferable. Units considered for transfer must have been taken within five years prior to the date of admission. The entire M.A.Ed. core must be taken at Biola University. Master of Arts in Teaching, Teaching Concentration (Online) Admission Requirements The following are required for admission into the online M.A.T. Teaching Concentration: • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. • Hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. • Hold a California SB2042 Preliminary Credential. • Clear Credential Candidates must verify that a commission-approved induction program is not available through their employer by submitting the CL-855 CTC form. Induction Candidates must provide verification of enrollment in a state-approved induction program. • Clear Credential Candidate must submit the Coach and Placement Information form.
