FLORENCE (SC) ALUMNI CHAPTER On May 4, 2024, The Florence (SC) Alumni Chapter supported Brother Andre Laws, the Mayor of Lynchburg, SC, at its annual Magnolia Festival. The festival began under the administration of the former mayor, the late Clifton Jefferson Sr. Mayor Jefferson was initiated at the South Carolina State University Chapter, the Alpha Lambda Chapter in the Fall of 1945 and was a member of the Florence (SC) Alumni Chapter until his death in 1998. The park is named after Mayor Jefferson for his dedication to the people and town of Lynchburg. The Late Mayor Jefferson’s son, Clifton Jefferson, Jr., currently serves as the Polemarch of the Florence (SC) Alumni Chapter. On May 10, 2024, chapter held its annual Krimson & Kreme Affair. The affair serves as a fundraiser for the chapter which provides scholarships for youth in the community and their help with their initiatives. The chapter also held its Kappa Getaway drawing with a grand prize of 4 days & 3 nights vacation worth $2,000.00.

ATHENS (GA) ALUMNI CHAPTER The Brothers of the Athens (GA) Alumni Chapter marked Senior Kappa Week by enjoying a day of grilling, beverages, and fellowship. The Brothers of Athens (GA) Alumni also recognized charter member, Brother Dr. Walter Allen Sr, for his contributions to the chapter. Brother Allen is a Life member of the fraternity and was also instrumental is chartering the Zeta Iota chapter at the University of Georgia.
