Linguistic Anthropology The linguistic anthropology concentration is designed for students interested in the relationship of language in culture. Courses include:
Note: Anthropology majors may not count more than two sociology electives towards graduation requirements. All students in the major are required to take the following two biblical studies courses: BBST 458 Theology of Mission as a Bible elective and BBST 465 Integration Seminar: Gospel & Culture; or Justice, Advocacy & Kingdom God; or Christianity & Natural Science, in the senior year . Concentrations There are concentrations offered in each of the subfields within the anthropology major. Students take introductory courses in each of the subdisciplines and are encouraged to concentrate in one of the following four areas. Students may also consult with their academic advisor regarding selecting a unique concentration based on career goals. Applied Anthropology This concentration seeks to provide students with the ability to apply anthropological research in the area of solving human problems. Courses include:
