Sustainability Leadership – The University of Warwick’s actions to meet the climate emergency goal of net zero by 2030 Room 1.05 Join David Elmes, Professor of Practice for the Strategy and International Business Group at WBS for an engaging session where we explore how our university is taking decisive steps toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2030. In the first half, we’ll present and discuss our sustainability initiatives, highlighting leadership strategies and transformative changes. Then, in the second half, take a guided campus tour to witness first-hand the practical measures we’re implementing to help meet the climate emergency goal of net zero by 2030.

David Elmes Professor of Practice Strategy and International Business Group Professor David Elmes joined Warwick Business School (WBS) in 2008 as Academic Director for the Warwick Global Energy MBA after more than 20 years working in the energy and management consulting industries including BP, Gemini Consulting, CapGemini and Schlumberger. With WBS he led development of the WBS Global Energy MBA and is now the Course Director for the WBS MSc Management. He leads the WBS Global Energy Research Network and works on a number of externally funded research programmes. David is interested in how the structure of the global energy industry is changing, how new business models are finding success and how management practices are changing. This continues his work on how companies achieve changes that transform their performance, including changes in organisation, culture and capabilities that enable and sustain new ways of working in ever-changing circumstances.
