Or you can get lunch during the Exhibitor Lunch & Learns on those days as well. GETTING AROUND SAN ANTONIO The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district, with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes by car. See page 13 for details on: - Airport Shuttle Service - Taxi/Uber/Lyft - Streetcar - Directions to the Convention Center - Parking - River Taxis CE CREDIT INFORMATION More than 450+ hours of quality continuing education courses are offered at SWVS 2023. A maximum of 28 credit hours are available during the general symposium. Additional credit hours are available. Please check with your state veterinary medical licensing board for specific continuing education allowances and requirements. See page 18 for complete details. MEDIA REGISTRANTS Press and media must register with SWVS prior to attending the symposium. Press credentials will be issued to authorized media. SAFETY Our goal is to provide a safe environment for everyone. There is a chance that overcrowding could occur in some lectures. SWVS must comply with the fire marshal’s policies to ensure we are safe, so if a meeting room is at capacity, no one else will be allowed in the room until it is safe to do so. We ask for your understanding and patience should this occur. Plan to arrive early for a specific lecture if you wish to participate. GUESTS Guests, spouses and children are all welcome on the SWVS tradeshow floor. Guest/spouse tickets are only $80 each and are for family members or guests who are not veterinarians, veterinary technicians, office staff, or practice managers. Guests 17 and under do not need a ticket. No guests or children under 17 are allowed in CE sessions. AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT SWVS cannot assure availability of appropriate accommodations without prior notification of the need 30 days prior to the start of the event. Any person attending SWVS 2023 may be photographed or videotaped and by attending gives permission to use their image in possible future marketing publications, including print, online and video. Blood will be drawn on Saturday, then packaged and shipped to a laboratory for titer determination. Results will be sent from Kansas State University with an estimated turnaround time of six to eight weeks. Cost of the titer will be $125. If it has been a relatively long time (5 or more years) since you have had a rabies booster vaccination or a titer determination, you may elect to have a booster vaccination instead of having a titer run. Cost of the vaccination will be $375. Rabies vaccinations will not be available on-site if you do not pre- register by August 30th for the vaccine.
