The first half hour each morning will be for prayer. We all know the blessings, power and- help in these sea sons of fellowship with our heavenly Father. There will not be addresses on prayer, but the entire time will be spent in prayer. We urge all to re- gard these periods as the most import ant part of the Conference. There will be arrangements for oea and breakfast at reasonable rates In nearby homes and there are numerous restaurants and cafeterias within two or three blocks. There will also be camp out. _ . . . . Pray much for this Conference that the Holy Spirit will have such liberty that we will truly “ sit together in heavenly places.” For further information or pro grams write to Guy H. Fish., Cor. Sec’y., 1632 24th St., Des Moines, Iowa. v»4 EVANGELISTIC MEETINGS IN DANVILLE, VIRGINIA The Ham-Ramsay Party, headed by Evangelist Mordecai Fowler Ham of Anchorage, Kentucky, conducted a great city-wide campaign in Danville, Virginia in February and March. Twenty-six churches participated in the campaign in a mammoth taber nacle in the heart of thè city, and the immense building proved too small to accommodate the crowds from the very beginning. The evangelist di vided the crowds, delivering the same sermon to women only and to men only, in order to give all an oppor tunity to hear. The music for the campaign was under the direction of William J. Ram say, chorister, assisted by Earl S. Rodgers, pianist. The party went from Kentucky to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where they opened a tabernacle campaign on April 11th. ¿Mfc. . TO THE GREAT PHYSICIAN Shortly after submitting- these verses for publication In The King’s Business, Miss Day went home to be with the Lord whom she had loved and served so de votedly. She will long be remembered by her host of friends In the Bible In stitute of Los Angeles—with which she was connected for many years In various positions of trust—for her sunny, beau tiful, unselfish life. Lord Jesus, oft I cannot see The reason for a seeming ill; Oh, heal the bljnd and show to me Thy loving hand that guideth still. Dear. Saviour, oft I cannot hear Above the stormy winds that blow: Oh, heal the deaf— to me, make clear Thy reassuring accents low. And, Master, when my feet refuse To lift themselves— all movement shun: Oh, heal the lame, new strength infuse, That I may on Thy errands run. Whene’er, dear Lord, I fail to show The love I truly feel, for Thee: Oh, heal the sick, whate’er the woe, That others may see Thee in me. — Jennie M. Day. Lewiston, Idaho

herit the earth,” Again He tells us of "an inheritance, incorruptible and un defiled and that fadeth not away, re served in heaven” (1 Pet. 4 :4 ). He says that He is preparing a place for us (John 14:1-2). So by faith we live as strangers and pilgrims, having no home here, but going home, for “ our citizenship is in heaven” (Phil. 3:20, 21 R. V.; 1 Pet. 2:9-11). Fourth (vs. 17-19), in his willing ness to sacrifice Isaac, who was the visible evidence that God was going to keep His promise. He believed that God would raise Isaac from the dead. He knew God’s Word must be kept re garding Isaac and the future nation, the only solution of the difficulty seem ed to be Isaac’s resurrection from the dead. If Isaac was to die surely God would make him alive again. He be lieved before Isaac existed, and now Isaac’s death presented no greater dif ficulty. Our Lord asks us to die, to crucify self, our position, our talents, our money, our education, our home, but only that He may give them back to us sanctified, empowered, vitalized and glorified. Through death we find life. “ Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die it bringeth forth much fruit.” When He asks you to die to self and to the world and to all you count dear, will you trust Him? He will bring life, abundant life, power ful life, fruitful life, glorious life, from the dead. “ And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” In this connection the Holy Spirit refers to Isaac, Jacob and Joseph as illustrations of faith, especially as set | forth in their last acts "of blessing. They had a firm conviction that God would fulfil all He had promised to Abraham. How brightly their faith shines to this very day. Such faith is produced only through close commun ion with God, M É t The Annual Conference of the Iowa State Christian Fundamentals Asso ciation and the Des Moines Bible Asso ciation will be held June 13-17, 1926, in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 4th and Euclid Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. The noted Bible teachers, Mr. H. A. Ironside, of California and Rev. Lewis Ê. Talbut, of Keokuk, la., will be the main speakers of the Conference. Those who have sat under the teaching of these men of God will spare no time or expense to do so again at this Con ference. We cannot at this time name the other speakers and leaders of Round Table talks on Bible Study, Prayer, Practical Christian work, Young Peo ple’s work and other helpful subjects. We expect to make it especially at tractive and profitable for the young people. Messages, round tables, ex cursions, fellowship suppers, etc. The music and children’s work will be under the leadership of Ira L. Deal of Waterloo, la., who is especially gifted along this line. CONVENTION AT DES MOINES NEXT MONTH

mate of the Christ of the Bible is formed by the way you live. Mani- fest the excellence, the beauty and the. greatness of the Word in your life., that others may be attracted to the Book and through faith in its Ghrist be saved. Are you libeling the Bible by the way you live? See Rom. 1:24. Minister to a needy world with the Bible. It is food for the hungry. If we had food it would be cruel to with hold it from those who were starving. It is deliverance to the captive. It is liberty to the bound. It is sight to the blind. It is comfort to the afflicted. It is strength to the weak. It is life to the dead. What a needy, wretched, blind, helpless world this is. Let us give it the Word of life (Phil. 2:16). Multiply its circulation. Give it free course. Get it into the hands of as many people as possible. Sow the seed everywhere. God has definitely prom ised to bless His own Word (Isa. 56: 10, 11; 2 Tim. 4 :2 ; Psa. 126:6). ^4. m MAY 23, 1026 HOW IS CHRIST CHANGING CHINA? Isa. 61:1-8 (Missionary Meeting) For direct information in regard to the progress of ChristiaU work in China see the report of “ Our Bible In stitute in China,” which appears in every issue of The King's Business. M MAY 30, 1026 LESSQNS FROM GOD’S PIONEERS IN ALL AGES Heb. 11:8-16; 17-22 ^ Many, many lessons may be learned from the lives and experiences of these stalwart giants, of whom the world was not worthy. But the principal lesson that the Holy Spirit wants us to learn in this particular chapter is faith. Abraham is the most outstand ing example of faith and devotion—*-of taking God at -His word and acting „ . First (v. 8) in obeying the call to leave homeland and family and go he knew not where (Acts 7 :5 ). Our Lord says today: “ Follow Me.” Where, Lord? "Follow Me.” Africa? China? South America? We do not know. We do not need to know all the places that He will lead us to. Our business is to obey the call. A little child once gave a beautiful definition of faith: ■(.‘Doing God’s will and asking no ques tions.” Second*(vs. 11-12), in believing for w h a t seemed impossibilities. He trusted God to accomplish that which re.ason and history said was impos sible. Jesus said, “ He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto My Fa ther” (John 14:12). This seems im possible. Do we believe it? “ If you would believe, you must crucify the question, ‘How?’ ” (Martin Luther). Third (vs. 10, 13-16), in holding on to God’s promise in regard to the land of Canaan, while only a stranger and a pilgrim in it. Though the prom ises were not fulfilled in his day, he reckoned it already accomplished. We have a promise, “ The meek shall in- thereon. .
