all his need. God’s Word is true and He will never fail those who entirely rely on Him and seek first His King dom and His righteousness. How we do praise the Lord for training His children in the life of faith! Not only were we glad to hear this testimony from this believer, but were made to rejoice when he said he want ed to study the Bible with us and thus prepare himself to go back to Mexico and give the Gospel to a tribe of In dians whose dialect he knows. We are praying and desiring to have a work among the Indians who are so sadly neglected, and, lo and behold, the Lord gives us a convert who knows the dialect and wants to go! Dear reader of these lines, will you not offer a prayer for this man and for us, that this, may be the beginning of a definite work among the Indians of Mexico? We also have some good news from Mexico. Another member of our Bible class returned to his home, and first testified to his family. They all ac cepted the Saviour. Then he went to his friends and neighbors and invited them to a service in his house; and now he writes that he wants to enlarge his house in order to Invite many in his town to the meeting. He asks if we can help him to provide benches by sending him some funds, and have an invitation oard printed, which our Bible class have already done. So you see our work here has a far reaching result, and it is all due to you who are praying for this work in Mexico. The above incident reminds us of the man out of whom Jesus cast the demons, who "besought Him that he might be with Him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee.’’ Dear friends, the Mexicans in our midst are often looked down upon by some, but while many may be ignorant and illiterate, yet when converted they make fine Chris tians, being willing to sacrifice of their means and serve the Lord Christ. The Lord has given us some splendid young men among our converts, whom we love as dearly as any of our own race. In closing let us beseech you one and all to continue to pray for this work and its extension in Mexico, and that He -may go before us in all the way and show us definitely what His plans are for us. jgg a s RUSSIAN IDEALISM Moscow.— Young criminals in the Irkutsk district of Siberia are kidnap ing young girls and selling them to Chinese, says a dispatch to the Young Communist Truth from Irkutsk today. In one instance a youth kidnapped a 17-year-old girl and took her across the Chinese border, where he sold her to a Chinese for $25. Fearing the same fate, the girts of that district now refuse to go on the streets after dark. In another village a 16-year-old girl was carried off and sold to a Chinese for $8 and fifty pounds of flour. — L. A. Herald. put the question oft, but Ood says, "Behold, now is the accepted time, Behold, now is the day of salvation,*' and that “ if any man be in Christ old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.** He is looking at Christ and the Christian life through difficulties that confront him on board a vessel, but he must look at difficulties through Christ in the new strength that comes by the Holy Spirit who will dwell within his heart from the moment that he yields to the Son of Ood. We offer a short prayer, and start to leave the room. The door is not closed when he says, "Come back, I will make a decision now." We re joice in the victory that Ood has given, and give him instruction as to how to make a success of the Christian life. At this writing we have not heard from the boy, but we are certain that definite decision was made, and are assured that our Lord is able to keep that which is committed unto Him. This next month our Naval Fleet returns, and in addition to our work among the merchant ships there will be 17,000 enlisted men who need the Gospel of tire grace of God. We need prayer, we need the power of the Holy Spirit upon us as we go to witness for God. Will you pray for us? ¿We. m SPANISH WORK Robert H. "Seek first the Kingdom of God, end Hi. righteousness, and nil of these things shall be added unto you.’* HE following incident beauti fully illustrates the truth of this promise. One of the converts whom we found in one of the railroad sections, told us how that when he was out of work, he and his wife would go out and visit the Mexican col onies and give their testimony aua preach the Gospel. After they had testified at several’ places, at the last place he was offered a position. He told me how happy he was when doing this, because the Lord was supplying TEACHER!PARENT!
