Kin Club fundraiser raises over $5000 for St. Mary’s

Costs will be about $50,000 for work on the perimeter of the tower, and an additional $90,000 to pay for other structural work, foundation work on church and hall, and restoration of the roof. St. Mary’s was constructed in 1887 with volunteer labour and donated materials, including Russell Brick made nearby. The bell tower houses a cast brass bell bought from St. Jacques Catholic Church in Embrun in 1924.

photo soumise Les élèves de l’École élémentaire catholique de Casselman ont eu l’occasion de participer à Sautons en coeur lors de la semaine de la santé qui s’est tenue récemment. Cette activité a été organisée afin d’amasser des fonds au profit de la Fondation des maladies du coeur. Elle vise aussi à inciter les jeunes à pratiquer del’activité physique à chaque jour.On a pu voir, tout au long des semaines qui ont suivi la présentation, les élèves s’amuser avec les cordes.
