also significantly propelled us closer to our goals. His attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset have been amazing. Wendell’s willingness to assist others and share his expertise is a testament to his selflessness and team spirit. I wanted to give Wendell a High Five and thank him for his extraordinary efforts and dedication. Please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we truly value the contributions you bring to the team.” Wow To: James Shrewsbury, Jayar Lamadrid, Jared Wallace, TVID Interior From: Duane Dowell, TVID Interior “I would like to give a High Five to James, Jayar, and Jared from our Treasure Valley Cabinet Install and Finish team. They went out to help repair some drawers for the brother of one of our customers, the designer for Chapman Homes. This client doesn’t give out compliments lightly, and when he does, it’s heartfelt. He called me today to say our guys were A+ across the board. He commented on their professionalism, their knowledge of their craft, their positive attitudes, and the quality of their work. Needless to say, they were wowed and appreciative of our guys. Way to knock it out of the park, guys.”
Guide To: McCall Inside Sales From: Ben Thomas, McCall
“We’ve struggled with accuracy lately, but the sales counter has made some big strides in making sure the customer is getting what they paid for. One simple adjustment — taking clipboards out into the yard when loading customers. High five to Wayne, Ashley, Rod, Josh, Andie, Dean, and Anthony for striving toward a more accurate experience.”
Strive To: KC Croner, Fruitland From: Dana Parker, McCall
“KC found two windows at the Fruitland yard that the vendor should have delivered to our location in McCall. KC called me and gave me a heads- up. Now we know about the problem before the builder. Thank you, KC!”
Easy To: Ty Eldred and Dirk Redfern From: Jeff Keeney, TVID Exterior
Safety To: Wendell Thompson, SCI From: Ritchie Rodriquez, Boise Cabinet Shop
“As most of you know, TVID Exterior had a large influx in siding here recently, and Ty and his team were having a hard time finding time to get the remaining stock put away while getting the deliveries out. Ty reached out to ask for help, and our friend Dirk offered a couple of people to help get the inventory put away. This is an example of working together to be a problem-solving organization! Good on Ty for reaching out and Dirk and his team for being so willing to help, thank you all!”
“I wanted to reach out and express my gratitude for the help that Wendell has been putting in with our team. Wendell has played an invaluable role in helping the cabinet department as we have been trying to finalize manufacturing five-piece texture doors and the processes involved with making that happen. Wendell’s contributions have not only enhanced our team’s overall performance but have
OUR ELKO LOCATION IS UPGRADING! There have been exciting changes in Elko. The only employee-owned store in Nevada is getting a fresh look. New leaders bring new ideas, so let’s see what’s been going on at Elko.
selection and wowing our customers with a cool new experience. We will expand our power tools and add more brands to increase options for our pros. The store will have a much better overall flow and feel for our customers
In January 2023, Trevor Custer took over as general manager and Frank Cardenas moved into the store manager position. Together, they decided to give the store interior a massive face-lift. The location hasn’t had a remodel since 1992, so it was time for upgrades and improvements.
Step one was demolishing the old counter to make space for a new and improved sales counter closer to the front entrance. We are also remodeling the bullpen and employee desk area. The store will be redesigned, the aisles moved, and the interior will get a new coat of paint for a more modern look. On the retail floor, the focus is on improving product
and employees. Another unique feature we’re adding is a contractors’ lounge so our contractors can have a place to take a break and look over plans. As the pictures show, we’re just getting started. Trevor is standing behind the sharp new sales counter, constructed by one of our local customers. The painting crew will be starting soon. This has been a team effort as we worked with Gabe Dworshak, our reps, and our customers to finalize product selections and begin our reset! If you are in the area, please stop in for a visit. We would love to show you around!
