PROFILE Created in 1966 through a public referendum, the Naperville Park District is an independent, municipal agency governed by a seven-member board, elected at large by Naperville voters; each serves a four-year term. The Executive Director, who is hired by the Board, manages the day-to-day operations of the District and oversees a staff of approximately 120 full time and 1,000 part time employees.
