Christ’s church was patterned accord ing to the worship conducted in the synagogue, and continued thus during the first three centuries. Roman Cath olic service became almost the same as the temple service. The Episcopal service is in many respects the same, and such is the case with all the Re formed churches to some extent. The author advocates a return to the prim itive method in which all the members were, or might be, evangelists having only one leader, the pastor.
